The first thing I noticed was that the foyer outside the venue, normally filled with people talking and catching up, was silent. Everyone was watching the screens, streaming from the stage inside, many of them actually leaning forward to hear. In a flash, I could see why. Jamie Ivey is a captivating communicator. What she says is substantive, practical, life-giving, convicting, and awe-inspiring. At the same time, she delivers that content with this combination of both the welcoming tenor of a wise friend with the gravity of what can only be called anointing.
