If your husband is like mine, he hates when you leave him lists of stuff to do. We discovered this very early on in our marriage when I would leave him lists and he would get mad at me. I was not sure how I was going to get him to do anything if I couldn't leave him a simple list. I mean, what's a girl to do?
So, I took it upon myself to figure out a way that I could still leave my husband a list and have him not gringe on the inside when he saw me asking him to do a crap load of stuff around the house!
Normally my to do list would look like this:
Aaron,
- hang the necklace holder
- take out trash
- change air filter
- fix bed
Thanks! Jamie
Oh my that would not be good.
Now it looks something like this. Here's an actual email I sent recently:
Hey baby …. no rush, but while I'm thinking about these things there are a few things that need to be done around the house that I'm gonna need your help in!
1. Change air filter
2. Fix Deacon's bed
3. Fix star lights in play room
4. Hang my necklace holder
5. empty your box on my desk.
6. make love to me.Love you lots! Sorry about the heaviness of other stuff while you are trying to lead us in worship today. If it makes you feel any better I thought this morning was exceptionally well and the songs were great with the message. Love the anthems and proclamations. Really spoke to me today.
Love you so much and am beyond proud to be Aaron Ivey's wife!
:)Jamie
Notice #6 – yeah if I give him a list I might as well add something on there he's gonna want to enjoy! Come on ladies keep your guys interested in you … add sex in to your to do lists that you leave them!!! Did you also see how after I asked him to do some things I built him up like crazy?!?!? I told him how awesome he is. How I'm proud to be his wife!!
So ladies … work on those to do lists! Build your man up while asking him to do things for you!
I needed this lesson…I make myself a mad person trying to entice Jimmie to just DO the list!!!:)
