{big congrats to the winners of the AUSTIN STONE LIVE cd}
I have read 10 books this year and am working on number 11 as we speak. Two books this year were monumental and made me evaluate and make changes in my heart. I'm so excited to get to give you one of the books that I LOVED so much this year. In fact I get to give THREE of you this book!!!
The book is called INTERRUPTED and it's by Jen Hatmaker, who is a phenomenal author and also a pretty stinking cool person in real life.

I don't quite remember where our paths first crossed, but since then I've known that this woman is amazing. She loves all things UT, likes to hug, is momma to five kids, likes to eat good food, and her and her hubby, Brandon, just brought home their 2 kids from Ethiopia this summer. For real, these people rock and I love every second we get to hang with them.
Jen has written 8 books and I've read two of them and they have both been awesome! She has so graciously given me three books to give away to my readers. This would make a perfect Christmas gift for your friends and family, or just for you! Wrap it up for yourself and stick it under your tree!!!
If you are a blog reader, you need to know about Jen's blog. Not only does she produce some fabulous books, she also writes amazing blog entries that move your heart and soul as well.
Interrupted encourages believers to ask if their lives bring integrity to the gospel. Follow the faith journey that begins with one dangerous prayer, “Raise up in me a passion,” and concludes with a life of service to the last, the least, the forgotten, and the forsaken. (from jenhatmaker.com)
I can't wait to get this book into your hands!!! Here's what you need to do to win:
1. Leave a comment with your favorite book you've read this year.
2. Find Jen Hatmaker on FB – http://www.facebook.com/jen.hatmaker – & wish her Merry Christmas! Leave me a comment and tell me you did that. 😉
There you go … two ways to win. If you do both you get two entries (leave a SEPARATE comment for each one), if you do one, you get one entry. Your call. Whatever floats your boat!
Contest ends at noon (CST) on Sunday, Dec 4.
On your mark, get set, go …….

My favorite book of the this year: Infinitely More by Alex Krutov. Alex shares his story of being abandoned at three days old, found in a trash can, and raised in the Soviet orphanage system. Today, Alex runs a ministry called The Harbor, which operates transitional homes and life skills programs in Russia, embracing forgotten teenage orphans.
Powerful story of redemption!

I’m e-mailing you because I know a woman who is the best person, christian, mother of well almost 4 girls, married to a musical enthusiastic minister and a true friend to me of 18 years. With life and kids we don’t get to see one another often and she doesn’t know I’m writing you (hopefully won’t;)!!) Her her name is Melissa Jones Navaro of Austin Tx and all she really wants is one of the 3 books. Please consider her for this as she reminds me of Jen Hatmaker, a real hero in my book! So I’m NOT going to lie and say this has been my BEST book reading year since HS. Since I got my Kindle, I’ve read 45 books!!! That is INSANE! Yes, I’ve read several more than once too. I’m also not going to lie & tell you that Twilight made it’s mark on me & I’ve read ALL 4 books 3 times this year. But I think my favorite series (because I LOVED ALL of them) are from Erynn Mangum. She’s written several series, but the one I love the most is the Lauren Holbrook series (Miss Match, Rematch, Match Point). Just wished Jen a Merry Christmas on FB. 🙂
Know this is cliche but the Bible has been my favorite book this year. Usually I read a whole whole lot. And at the end of last year was feeling convicted about it. I looked at my bookcase and realized I’d read over a bookcase of books that year but had done very little Bible reading. So, this past year I have been trying to read the entire Bible. Not chronologically or front to back but I read by whatever had my interest at that time. I use the guilt-free Bible reading plan by Natalie Jost. She has a bubble to fill in for every chapter in the Bible. It was very encouraging to be able to mark off my progress.I didn’t quite finish but read way more than I ever had before and it has been life changing.

I read Radical by David Platt again this year and it is a good challenging book.
There are two books that have truly impacted me this year: Rescued by John Bevere and One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Jen Hatmaker’s “Modern Girls Guide to Bible Study” has been a great study and I am anxious to read another of her books.
