Last week I wrote about the month of June over at Inspired to Action and how our family worked on studying the Fruits of the Spirit this past month. You can read that article HERE.
The book used to help us this month was: KIDS' TRAVEL GUIDE TO THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.
July brings me to a month when I'm unfortunately away from my kids a whole lot. Aaron and I will be vacationing with a few more couples on an island far, far, away and our kids will be at camp. Then I'm heading to London with our church and my kids will be here with Aaron and with friends. I thought that this month would be a great month for me to be very intentional with my praying for them. I pray for my kids every day and often, but this month is going to be more than that. I want to find specific traits I want to begin to see in them and ask God for those. I want to identify some areas of sin and pray for them about those. I want to pray over them as much as I can.
I read a book last year called THE PRAYING LIFE and it changed my life, and honestly I think I should re-read it every year. It's that good. If you are looking for a read that could change your prayer life, this is the one for you.
Jamie I want you to know that I love reading your blog! You are open and honest about being a wife and mom, and on the days I am feeling discouraged it helps to know I am not alone! So thanks!
