WHAT YOU WILL HEAR
My guest for The Happy Hour #332 is Alena Pitts. At just 16-years-old, Alena is an actress, singer, writer and speaker, most known for her role in the movie War Room. She is a Texan at heart and currently resides in Nashville. Alena and the entire Pitts family are so near and dear to my heart and I’m so thankful I got to sit down with her and hear more about what God is doing in her life.
In today’s episode, Alena shares about the pressure of success as a Gen-Z teenager, and reminding herself that what she does is not who she is. On top of some of the challenges of simply being a teenager, Alena tells us what it was like to walk-through her biggest challenge: unexpectedly losing her mom, Wynter. She dives into processing all of the different levels of grief, and how it became bearable solely because of Jesus. As a fellow enneagram six, I definitely relate to Alena Pitts role in war Room in a lot of ways, especially worst case scenarios. But I love so much when Alena says, “What I had imagined as the worst case scenario was the worst case scenario at one point in my life. And I survived.” I am consistently impressed by Alena’s wisdom and strength at such a young age, and I am always cheering her on as a role model for Christian girls.
