Sharon Hodde Miller joins me today for The Happy Hour #163. Sharon is the author of Free of Me and speaks regularly on topics ranging from leadership to motherhood to Scripture. She’s a pastor's wife and mother to two small boys. In addition to earning her PhD, Sharon has blogged at SheWorships.com for nearly ten years, making God's Word accessible to women everywhere. She lives with her growing family in the Raleigh/Durham area.
In our conversation today, Sharon shares her hilarious story about meeting her husband at a date auction – which includes a mechanical bull, a shirtless man and push-ups. She shares about getting her PhD, which I feel automatically makes her the smartest woman we've ever had on the show. And we talk about what Sharon does best – supporting women in ministry and cheering others on in their unique giftings.
You'll love Sharon's favorite things, and I'm guessing you'll be making a stop at a Starbucks this week with a new order. I hope you love the show today, and make sure to pop over to wherever you like to buy your books and grab a copy of Free of Me.
{You can listen to the show HERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

That was such a wonderful podcast! It resonated with both myself and my 25 year old daughter. I just ordered the book for both of us. And I tried the coffee order… it was delicious!
Thank you Jamie for your wonderful podcasts and blogs. My daughter shared it with me a few months ago and it has been wonderful discussing them with her, especially since she currently lives a thousand miles away! Every one of your podcasts seems to touch us in some way, even though she is 25 and I am 57 years old. You have a wonderful gift for interviewing and your guests are all delightful and have such insight. They always lift me up and make me want to do more for mankind and for our Jesus! And we do love the what 3 things are you reading and what 3 things do you love! Thank you… thank you!!!!!
I loved this! I graduated from Western Seminary a few years ago, I loved the conversation around that!
