That's a fun welcome!

A few days ago I was able to be a guest on the KOKE & COLE morning show here in Austin.  (Gracious, I even sang live on air -oh it's bad y'all.  So, so bad.)  {Remember I used to work on the radio for a very short stint in my life}  This summer I was able to go in and be a  guest, but it was to fill in when Bob was out of town.  This time Bob was there, and it was like old times.  It was so much fun to be back on the air with Bob as we discussed life here in Austin and around the world.  People ask me all the time if I miss working at the radio station.  My answer is always the same.  Yes.  Yes I miss it because I LOVED IT.  I stumbled upon something that I loved to do, and I think I was kinda good at.  I enjoyed having a voice and meeting such amazing people that listen to morning shows every morning.

I do miss it, but I don't for one second think my decision to leave so soon was wrong.  It was the best move I could have ever made for my family, and I will never let anything come before them since that's my number one priority.   But if I'm very honest with myself I'd be lying if I said there aren't moments when I dream about being back on the air.  I dream of the perfect job description.  What if I dropped off my kids at school, and then went in to work?  What if I worked 3 days a week?  What if I was just a random guest every once in a while?  You see, there's alway those scenarios that you dream of.  Only time will tell.

So … remember when I told you I wanted to start doing a podcast?  Yes that's still on my radar.  Still on my radar.  Getting to be a guest back on the radio makes me want to do that even more.  Maybe in 2014 I'll be back on the air somehow.
