Today has been a very productive morning for us here. Cayden had his usual art class this morning. He loves it and always makes the most creative things. His teacher, Ms. Kayla, is great and she helps him so much. Basically he does a lot of connect the dots at this age. She'll ask him to connect the dots by either a straight line, smiley face, or hop. Pretty cool. She says it will help him with his letters too when he gets into kindergarten. If you think about it you can write all your letters by using those three things in some form or fashion.
Here is his car from this morning:
He said it was my car b/c I have a blue car too!
After that we headed to the Y as a family. I have been a HUGE slacker with working out and each Monday I am determined to get to the gym four times in the upcoming week. It hasn't happened once like that in 2008. I ran 3.5 miles and was proud of myself. I usually run for 8 minutes and then walk for 2. I set the incline to 1% and stay between 5.5 and 6.0. So I'm by no means setting any records or anything, but it is a good workout.
Then we headed to Target. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE target. I could spend hours walking the end aisles for the clearance finds. I always find something that we really “need”!! If you haven't heard, we're on a budget. That's for another post, but anyway it has limited my clearance aisle shopping MAJORLY! Our budget is a great thing, it is just taking me a while to get used to it.
Anyhow, back to Target. Today I found a super cute onesie for Story. I think it will be great for when we are there in May and she gets to meet her daddy for the first time:
It says “Daddy's little sweet pea”. How adorable is that!
I also found a super cute dress with bloomers (isn't that what they are called … I'm new to this girl stuff!) and some very fashionable camo shorts for Amos. Every boy needs a pair of camo shorts!
We also picked up some creamer for the Livesay family. Hope they like vanilla!!!
If you live close to us and want to send some stuff to the Livesay family you can! Here are some suggestions …. cashews, granola bars (generic is fine), cereal, crackers, cookies, candy, chocolate, brownie mix, tofu, coffee, & flavored creamer.
Hope your Monday is off to a fabulous start! This is going to be a good week, I can feel it!!
She’ll look adorable!!!! I HEART Target, too!!! And yes, they are called bloomers. 🙂 You make me laugh! Hope your week is perfect!!! Happy early Easter!!!

I stumbled on your blog searching for half marathon pics a while back (I’m training for my 1st right now). I have been truly blessed by what I’ve found here. I am a high school pastor’s wife and I know God lead me to your blog for a reason. I just wanted you to know that your words are an encouragement to me as I see how you love life and love your family. I just had to comment after the Target post. Target holds a special place in my heart! Love the endcaps!
I LOVE Target too! A SuperTarget just opened up a couple miles from my house. How convenient is that???
That is so funny. We always wanted Cru to have camo shorts too. He has had a pair of either camo shorts, shoes, pants, or even a shirt in every size! And we didn’t buy it of course, they were all gifts. We’re ALWAYS on a budget! Did you get my email?…I sent it a few days ago. Take care!
