Welcome to 2013 ….

I'm gonna lose 10 lbs … maybe even 15 lbs …..


oh i know right now you are rolling your eyes.  You're saying …”everyone starts a diet jan 1″ …. or …..  “oh you don't need to, you look great” … well thanks so much, but I'm not fishing for compliments, but I'm just being honest with myself and with you … over the past few years I have gained 15 lbs.  Adoption has done this to me.  I'm an emotional eater and to say that the past years have been emotional would be the understatement of the year.


So I have been following my friend Ashley for a few weeks now and she has greatly enticed me with her “slow carb challenge” for the month of January.  Actually more than a month.  6 weeks.  UGH gracious am I really doing this?!?!?!




If you are interested in doing this with me … {please do this, someone please do this with me … please … please … i can not do this alone} check out Ashley's blog.  She has tons of help on there.  She recently posted a shopping list.  She just posted a meal she made that's no carb.  She posted all about the diet on her blog as well.  Here are the 5 rules to this plan that I'm about to pursue.

I'm gonna blog my journey through this.  I'm committing to you the reader to do this.  I can't even believe that I'm doing this and telling you about it.  I'd rather not tell, so that when I quit after 3 days (which is something I've been known to do) no one would know.


Here we go …. I'm losing a few pounds.  Oh did I mention I'm heading to Cancun soon … oh and I need a new bathing suit … I'm not saying that has anything to do with my decision, but it's in the back of my mind.  Or the front of my mind.  🙂
