Even though I am not one bit musical, I still love being surrounded by such wonderful artists here in Austin. You really can't beat all the talent that is here in this city. A few of our favorite artists have gotten together and created some beautiful art that I'm happy to share with you today. Matt McCloskey released his first album These Times Won’t Last in 2009. Now, Matt is releasing his newest album, The Hard Rains, and his documentary will be airing in two weeks here in Austin.
Steven Bush is the filmmaker behind this documentary about making art, and living with the consequences. Their film will be debuting on Tuesday, August 27th, at the Violet Crown here in downtown Austin. Violet Crown is by far my favorite movie theatre in town and they have the best bloody mary's in town.

Steven and Matt are both incredible artists and I'm so thrilled to get to be a part of this fun night here in Austin. Here's the best news for you today! I have two tickets to give away to this night. This would be a phenomenal date night for you and your sweetie! There are tons of great restaurants around there that you could dine at before or after, or honestly just eat at Violet Crown before and you will be just as happy. They have great food and drinks (did I mention the Bloody Mary's, yet?)
