I was recently exposed to a company that gives back to the world via backpacks. It's the one for one model that so many companies employ and this one is with backpacks. So for each backpack you buy, one is donated locally (here in Austin) and in Rwanda. Super duper cool friends!
Here's a backpack they recently donated here in Austin:
And here's one that was recently donated to a child in Rwanda through Africa New Life. The backpacks are made by the women in their sewing program.
This would be a great gift for someone that has it all. A new backpack is always a great gift idea, especially when they look as good as these from OAK look.
OAK is giving away a messenger bag to one of you guys! What a great gift this will make for someone on your list! Also if you don't win, don't worry because they are offering a 15% off code through Christmas Eve. Use the code DREAMBIG when checking out. Isn't that nice!

For the month of November and December I'm showcasing places you can buy gifts that either give back, or are from small business owners. Let's put our money in places that make a difference. To make sure you never miss a giveaway, feel free to subscribe to blog. You can do that at the top right on the side. –>
Prize can only be shipped to US. Winners are chosen randomly. Please consider buying gifts for your loved ones from here. Winners will be notified within 48 hours via email. If you haven't responded within a week to claim your prize a new winner will be chosen. Good luck!
I love cute backpacks- with good pockets!! I went to Ole Miss and we were the rebels. My high school mascot was a tomcat!
Concordia University…we were the tornados…wah wah…so lame
Faulkner University – Eagles. My high school mascot was a gator.
Messenger bags are great–and backpacks too! I graduated from West Springfield HS in Springfield, VA, and we are the Spartans!
I graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and we are the Saints!
I LOVE the backpacks!!! my kids share this passion as well!!
Francis Howell High School in Missouri, and the mascot was the viking..
I went to a smaller extension university in Indiana. We were the Dons (as in Mastodons). Kind of strange…I think it’s because they found a fossilized mastodon skeleton on the property before they built the school.
I went to school at Columbia High in NY and we were the blue devils.
I go to Madison Media Institute, we’re a Media school dedicated to Business, Film, Recording, and Gaming so we unfortunately don’t have any sports teams, but our unofficial mascot is a Tiger!
I did undergrad at Sam Houston State – the BearKats (yes.. with a K) and then grad school at UT. Go Horns!!
