A few weeks ago Aaron surprised me by telling me that we were heading to NYC for a weekend.  I couldn't believe it and was so excited.  It was one of the few trips we've taken since we began our adoption process.

We left Austin on Thursday morning after dropping off all the kids at school and arrived in NYC that afternoon with 5 other couples.  SO MUCH FUN!  I love getting away!  I am a better mom and better wife when I return.

Here are some of the ladies that were on my flight to NYC.  Between us we left 11 kids behind and two of these ladies have babies in their belly's!  Us moms were happy to get away!

That night we headed out to Ben & Jack's Steakhouse for dinner.  Gracious it was good food!  Aaron and I are lovers of good food.  We each had a different form of fish and sides and we may or may not have tasted a few or maybe a lot of bites of steak.  It was so tasty!

After dinner headed to the famous Serendipity restaurant. I had never been there nor had I ever seen the movie, but was told I would love the desserts and equally would love the movie!

Night one was great.  I love the city and love the hustle and bustle of it all.  I love to vacation there, but I always feel as though I need a vacation to recover from the vacation when I get home!
