I am awake. It is 5:45 AM. Now I'm pretty sure that some people choose to rise at this time each day. Me, not so much. I have been awake in bed since about 5 tossing and turning so I decided to get up read blogs about Haiti and hopefully I would get so tired of looking at the screen I'd go back to sleep.
I have been having such a hard time sleeping this past week. Not sure what is going on, but I wish it would stop. I can only think of one night I've slept good in a week. This is starting to catch up with me.
So, now that I'm awake at a time of day that I'm not normally up, what shall I do? Read? Watch TV? Lay in bed? Organize something? (my label maker ran out of labels last night!) Eat? Make coffee?
I was up at 4:45 this morning- and I don’t have adoption stuff running through my head anymore….
usually when I can’t sleep I figure that God has me awake for a reason- so I pray… anyone and everyone that comes to my mind gets middle of the night prayers sent up by me from time to time….
most of the time I can’t fall back asleep… so that stinks… ’cause the next night at like 8 I am falling asleep on the couch!
just a warning… it probably will not be better until your kids are home…
you might have to try a night time sleep pill occasionally so you can get a good night of rest every once in a while!
Sounds like the perfect time to go running ! You can be up early and beat that TX heat.
Erin
you should have mowed the lawn, or washed the cars, or cleaned my office. 🙂
I’m sorry to say that you will not sleep well again until your children are home. 🙁 My lack of sleep started in April – I was well exhausted by the time we arrived in Haiti the morning of June 1, 2009 but I slept good from that night forward. Now I just stay up entirely too late!
I, too, had a rough night. Couldn’t fall asleep, then woke up way to early—my mind just won’t stop.
I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers.
I too think God wakes me up early in the morning to pray, usually while I’m praying I end up falling back to sleep. 🙂
