I'm basically the least high maintenance beauty person you will ever meet. I'm not lying to you when I say that every day I use four pieces of make-up. No lie. One time I took my make up to my friend Tiffany's house and I showed up with it in my pocket. She pulled out 73 trays of her make-up and I pulled it out of my pocket like it was a piece of juicy fruit.

I've always been a bit of a minimalist and when I find something that I like I seem to stockpile the product and will rarely find a need to switch to anything else. We are heading to Tyler this weekend and as I was packing my toiletry bag I thought I'd share with you my essentials for my daily body & make up routine. Basically here's what I'm throwing into my travel bag.

Toiletry bag

If I was stranded on a deserted island I could make it with this little bitty bag. Everything I need for my day to day beauty essentials is in there.

First of all, let's look at this bag. Isn't it just the cutest? Aaron still has no understanding of why anyone in their right mind would put their initials on anything. I don't have much that's monogrammed, but the things I do I'm in love with! My sister-in-law, Joanna, works with an organization called Project Free 2 Fly and their mission is to help women within their community that are unemployed and give them a skill set in sewing and creating products. They made my bag! I just love it! Every single time I get it out to pack for a trip I think of the impact they are having in their community.

Second do you see the make-up I'm using. There are literally four pieces right there and it's all I use every single day. In all fairness I do own some tinted skin moisturizer that I might get out for a special night. And I do own eye shadow for those special nights, but for the most part I never wear those two things unless it's a dress up kinda night, and lets be honest, those aren't happening often over here.

Here's what I use every single day. Blush + Eye Liner + Mascara all from Beauty Counter. My friend Noelle introduced me to these products a while ago and I'm sold. Their products are so safe and they ban over 1500 products from their line, whereas the US has banned only 11. Our skin is our largest organ and I'm trying to do what I can to put safe products on my body.

They just released the mascara and I'm so incredibly happy to have found a mascara that actually works and is safe for your body. They spent over 3 years developing the product to make sure it stood up to their strict standards, and the wand separates your lashes without making them clumpy. Can we all raise our hands and say Thank You for that!

I love the face wash + moisturizer + face oil. I also use the Body Oil + shampoo from Beauty Counter. Now that I'm looking at what I use and love it looks like I'm a fan of Beauty Counter!

I started using Primal Pit Paste last Fall, and seriously I love it. All my kids got their very own in their stockings this year, plus I'm recommending this every chance I get. Once again, I'm trying to be more mindful about what I put on my skin that is getting absorbed into my body. I have started all of my kids on this as well, because they have years and years ahead of them and so let's start with something that's not going to harm their bodies.

When I began with Primal Pit Paste I ordered their sample pack for $20 with free shipping. Honestly you don't have much to lose there, so you should give it a try.

Somedays I put lip gloss on, but most days I can't find it.

This is my simple bag to pack for a weekend away. Do you have a simple make up bag, or are you pulling out 79 compartments in your bathroom full of products?
