I have a second grader!!!
I picked Cayden up from school today and as we were walking away he stopped and looked at me and said, “I hope this is not a dream and that I really am a second grader now.” How cute was that! Then he went on to pinch himself and proclaim, “Nope not a dream I felt that!”
Hilarious!
One of his friends fell on the playground today and as we were driving home I told him that his teacher had told me that he did end up breaking his arm and had to go to the doctor and get a cast on his arm. Cayden paused and then said so matter-of-fact “I wish that had happened to me so it didn't have to happen to my friend.”
WOW! I love my conversations with my kids when we are one on one. Nothing better!
One amazing kid. It seems some kid always breaks their arm and misses out on swimming for the first few weeks of summer, but then I forget you guys are Texans and have probably been in the pool for weeks. You have a second grader and I am sending child #4 recent high school grad off to Germany as a rotary youth exchange student…..talk about time flying by and mom being brave. God does amazing things in these kids!
that is so sweet.
One wonderful loving second grader you have there.
Very sweet boy! I miss that sweet face and that of his Momma too! I love keeping up with the Iveys on your blog Jamie! You are doing great with the kids! Keep up the hard work. They will love you for it!
Kids have such a knack for making us smile don’t they!?
