When I became a mom I never knew how much I would love all things that represented my kids. I would want their names on pieces of art. I would tattoo birds on my arm to represent them. I would put their initials all over the place. Something about being a momma makes you so proud of your babies.
Recently I stumbled upon an Etsy shop and fell in love with everything that she had to offer. Designed to Shine caught my attention right away with all of her jewelry that was so personalized. If I can put my kids names on something I automatically love it!
We talked back and forth about doing a giveaway for Christmas, but landed on one for Mother's Day and I'm so happy about that, because I love giving stuff away, and I especially love blessing mommas for all their hard work.
I received my necklace in the mail yesterday and was smitten from the beginning. When something looks cute even in the packaging I'm a fan.
I couldn't wait to untie that bow and get to my new necklace with all my babies names on it.
AH I'm in love! There are four sides and each one has a kids name and their birthstone. There's something super sweet and sentimental about wearing your kids names wherever you go.
Last night on our final ResltessProject Book Club I wore it and I think it looked awesome!
Designed to Shine is graciously giving away a necklace to one of you lucky readers for Mother's Day! There are four options for you to chose from and they are in the picture below. They are all personalized and one of them even uses your own writing as the text.

My favorite memory of my mom is that she would make our birthday cakes EVERY year – the BEST cake was R2D2 at age 8 and 18!!!
I know those of us with four this works out perfectly!
thanks!
and now look at you making cakes and such!
I have been wanting one of these. Now that we received our referral I can include our daughter in it!For some reason I am lacking in the necklace department. I have a ton of earrings and bracelets.
Since I am the only guy who has commented, I hope I get extra husband points for thinking about mother’s day ahead of time. This is a cool gift… my wife would LOVE it!
I shared this on my twitter (not facebook, to keep it a surprise from my momma!)
One of my favorite memories with my momma is a tape we have from when I was a little girl. Im singing all kinds of old country songs, and you can hear her laughing, singing, and commenting in the background. We play it at almost every family function (mostly to make fun of my moms reactions when I messed up “Kinsey.. what were you thinking?) I know this is where my love for singing came from!
My favorite memory of my Mom is how she’s always there for me. I guess that’s not really a memory, but she always listens and she’s always interested. I really appreciate that about her!
So cute! I shared on my business FB page! Thanks Jamie!
So cute. I hope I win.
I loved being with her at the beach.
I’m sharing your Mother’s Day giveaway on Facebook. 🙂
My favorite memory with my mom also involves my grandmother. I loved spending time with my mom in my grandmother’s kitchen cooking, and hearing the stories about my mom and grandmother when they were growing up, and what it was like in the ‘good-ole’ days. One time I got so distracted cleaning up from a meal, that I put the butter dish in the oven. 🙂
My favorite memory of my mom is her becoming a grandma for the first time last October!
YES!!! Aaron got me a necklace with all four kids names on it while we were in the waiting process and it was by far one of my favorite gifts ever!
EXTRA points for sure Justin!!!
I shared on facebook. My favorite memories of my mom (since she passed away when I was 18) is how she would drop everything she was doing when I needed to talk or needed a hug. She would also make Christmas a month long celebration of baking, singing, wrapping and shopping. I loved those times with her. Now with two boys I hope to pass on some traditions! 🙂
I love love LOVE this and have sent this post on to my husband…hoping he’ll take the HINT!! My birthday is the weekend before Mother’s Day! My favorite memory of my mom is remembering how hard she would work to make EVERYONE feel comfortable in our home. She passed on her gift for hospitality to me!!
I shared via Twitter. My mom always had a word of advice for me throughout my life. Even though I found it hard at times to admit it she was usually right about most things. This will be my first Mom’s Day without my beautiful mom as she passed away 4 months ago.
My favorite memory of mom is when I was little, and very sick, and she sat on my bed and rubbed my back until I went to sleep.
My mom died when I was 9 and unfortunately, I don’t have many memories of her. The ones I do remember best are her final days; those aren’t so happy. However, I have one memory of her singing an old song called “Goodnight Irene”. I don’t know if she was a great singer, but I remember thinking it sounded beautiful. I can remember her green eyes looking at me as she sang. Even then I knew that was a moment I’d savor.

Seeing my mom for the first time as a missionary in a foreign country. I went for a visit to Korea to see her and it dawned on me, she really is doing what God has led her to do. How cool is that.
