Last Friday I had LASIK and oh my goodness is this amazing!!!!! I mean amazing. I have worn glasses/contacts since I was in the 6th grade. I got glasses in the 6th grade and looked like this ….
Then I got contacts in 8th grade and lost one on the first day I had them. How do you lose a contact? I claimed it jumped right out of my eye in gym class! Not sure my mom ever truly bought that excuse!
Anyhow …. LASIK was so easy and pain free. They give you an eye exam and then you go back for the laser stuff.
This is me at the office before surgery. Hopefully I'll never have glasses on again!

Here I am leaving the office. I showed up at noon. They did an exam & prepped me for the procedure and I we were walking out at 1pm. It was that quick!
I then proceeded to get loopier and loopier all the way home from the medicine they gave me. I slept from 2-6:30 and when I woke up I could see. I am not kidding you. I could see.
So two things I want you to know about me ….
- I can't believe I posted that picture above of me from the 7th grade. How embarrassing!
- I loved my experience with MANN EYE CLINIC!! They were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They made me feel completely comfortable and the doctor called me that afternoon to check on me. Who does that?!?!?!
I had Lasik done almost 2 years ago after almost 20 years in glasses and/or contacts. I had a very similar experience as you and I could see better even immediately after the surgery. It’s a miracle for sure and I was bummed to think I waited so long to do it. Best BEST money I ever spent!
