YES! We received it today in the mail. We all jumped around in the kitchen and did the we-are-approved-to-adopt-an-orphan-dance. That is what this form is. It gives us permission for our homeland security here in the USA to adopt an orphan from another country. We had to prove to them that we had good intentions and could support them so they wouldn't end up on welfare here or something. 🙂
So, now they have sent something down to the US Embassy in PAP and when Aaron and I are there in May we will go in person and file our I600. From what I've heard it helps lots to be able to file that in country, so we're happy to be able to do that.
That's our happy news of the day … what is yours?
That’s so great! I bet y’all are just counting down the days until May!
Awesome news! It must be the week for those forms as a good friend of mine just got that same form in the mail this week! 🙂
What does that mean, timewise, for the adoptions?

I am doing the you-are-approved-to-adopt-an-orphan dance with you!!! Oh, the joy!!!
one step closer!!
I don’t even know you but got to your blog because my husband loves your husbands blog and now I love yours! I am drawn to it through the adoption I have a sister who leaves on the 6th to go get her son from China. She also has a daughter from China and in walking this road with her you sometimes say things that helps me see what she must be going through. All your kids are so cute. I wanted you to know I am praying for a quick adoption, I hope that is not weird since I don’t know you.God is so good and remember HIS timing is perfect!
Praying for all of you,
Trish
what a fun thing to see after a super long/draining day! how happy!!
my happy of the day — seeing God provide tons of money for a mission trip im going on!
Congrats, Jamie! Oh how I remember the excitment of that day (getting the form). I filed our I-600s in person in Haiti last March. I have no doubt it helped us in the end processes as others were reporting problems and we had that part relatively easy. Good idea!
p.s. You’ve commented on our blog before and I’m not sure if you were regularly visiting, but we’ve had to go private for a few reasons. If you’d like to visit again, email me at tallfrys@yahoo.com
Congratulations again!
Well yipeeeeee!!! So exciting!! How fun to be able to take care of something in country!! Our news, we moved up 9 more (unknown – untallied – unexpected) spots on our agencies wait list!!
Congratulations!! One step closer! I can’t wait until we get to see a picture posted with all of your kiddos at home! I love that you all danced too! 🙂
Wonderful, wonderful news!
