Recently someone asked me what I did for a living and I smiled (because I love what I do!) and told them that I have a podcast that I host each week called, The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey. They looked at me with all the sweetness they could muster and asked, “What's a podcast?”

I could tell they didn't want to feel stupid, but they also didn't know what to say  next because they had no idea what I was talking about.

I explained a podcast to them. I said it's like a radio show on your phone (or computer) that you can listen to whenever you want! The actual webster's definition is this: a digital audio or video file or recording, usually part of a themed series, that can be downloaded from a website to a media player or computer. 

One of my most asked questions when people hear what I do is, how can I listen.

I'm gonna help you out today. If you have an iPhone then this explanation is for you.

Fortunately for you, each iPhone comes equipped with a podcast button on your phone. Super nice of them to make this so easy for you and I.

Find that on your phone and then click on it. It will then take you to this screen:

Click on the magnifying glass on the bottom of the screen that says search. Then at the top of the screen type in what you are searching for. I have a lot of podcasts that I subscribe to, but today I want you to type in THE HAPPY HOUR WITH JAMIE IVEY and see what comes up! I have another post coming of other shows I listen to, and I'd love to hear from you about what you listen to!

After you type in THE HAPPY HOUR WITH JAMIE IVEY you will see my little picture show up and all you need to do is click on it and then this will show up:

You need to click where it says subscribe. This picture already says subscribed because I already subscribe to my own show. Weird? Hopefully not.

After you subscribe, if you click on unplayed it will show you all the shows you haven't listened to since you subscribed to the show. Since I have already released 46 shows you are gonna want to go to the button where it says feed and there you can see all the old episodes and start binge listening. That was a small plug for you to go back and listen to everyone since the beginning!!  You will like them, I promise!

Easy Peasy guys … After all this every time you open up your podcasts app it will look like this:
