WHAT YOU WILL HEAR

My guest for The Happy Hour #324 is Melissa Zaldivar. Melissa is a writer, podcast host and author of Kingdom Come: Finding Holy in the Here and Now. She received her master’s in theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and is currently living just north of Boston.

Melissa has such an important message for listeners and I’m so excited for you to hear it. She tells us about the importance of knowing the meaning of scripture and translations, and that good theology is the lens to the way we view the world. Melissa truly believes that we are all theologians, because we all have an opinion of who God is. She also talks in depth about how we learn through loss, and the way God meets us before the victories just as much as He does after the victories. As she shares about her personal season of loss with us, I loved so much when she hit us with that truth bomb: “He has to meet us in the pain to get to the victory.” I appreciate her passion on this topic because it is SO important. God doesn’t only meet us on the mountaintops; He meets us in the places where we’re trapped in grief and disappointment. Let’s all walk in that truth today!
