The Happy Hour #323: Stevie & Sazan

My guests for The Happy Hour #323 are Stevie & Sazan Hendrix. This power couple have become some of my dearest friends, and they are actually the very first couple to be interviewed together on The Happy Hour! Stevie & Sazan work in the content creation space, and have built their own personal brand through YouTube, Instagram, podcasts and blogs. They recently moved to Austin from LA with their adorable daughter, and baby number two on the way! I’m so excited that after several years of friendship, we’re basically neighbors now!

Stevie & Sazan are incredibly open about their faith, and it is such an encouragement to see them consistently walk in faithfulness to God’s calling. In today’s episode, they talk about how this 2020 season has forced them to slow down, shifting their business from makeup/beauty to a motivational platform, and feeling led to leave LA behind. They also dive into the story of how they landed in Austin, and the year-long journey of waiting on God to find them a home. I love when they recount the moment they learned such a valuable lesson: “I feel like God is asking us to build Him a home in our hearts.” Sometimes we can get so fixated on what we want, that we end up putting those wants in a place where God belongs. It is such an important reminder that even if we are chasing after things that are good, they should never take a place in our hearts over God. I hope you walk away feeling encouraged that what God gives us is always so much better and sweeter than what we could ever dream up ourselves.
