WHAT YOU WILL HEAR

My guest for The Happy Hour #322 is Brooke Ligertwood. Brooke is a songwriter, musician, producer and head of worship for Hillsong Worship. You may have heard her vocals on songs like What A Beautiful Name and King of Kings. Brooke is originally from New Zealand, and now lives here in the states with her husband and two toddler daughters.

I have been wanting to have Brooke on the podcast for SO long and I’m beyond excited that we finally made it happen! In today’s episode, Brooke and I chat about everything from the process of songwriting for Hillsong to the joy of watching the next generation of believers step into their role as Kingdom ambassadors. We also talk about what repentance and revival looks like in 2020 through everything happening in this season of life. It’s no secret that we’ve all been unexpectedly stripped of our systems and patterns, and possibly came to realize that these things were idols in our lives. I love when Brooke says, “We need to be prepared to have our hands open and our hearts open to stop clinging to our systems.” That is so true and timely. I pray that we would all be obedient to surrender the systems we’ve clung to, and be fully prepared for what God is doing both right now, and what’s to come. Be sure to pick up a copy of Brooke’s children’s book What A Beautiful Name wherever books are sold!
