Today is a big day around here because for the first time ever since I've been blogging I received a make-over from a professional. Two amazing guys that work at our church spent their nights working on this project and I couldn't be happier. I wanted clean and fresh and I feel that they captured that for me perfectly.
I love the new features that we have here, and how it's organized better now. Blogging for me started out as such a connecting way for our family's to keep up with us when we were in another state, and it has transformed into something that I seriously love. It's such an output for me and a way to encourage women in their lives through my stories and God's word. I feel as though there were bloggers in front of me in our adoption journey and their words were life to me, and I pray that I get to be that to some of you.
There's some parts of the blog that are truly just baby books for my children. I really stink at keeping memories for them, and if it wasn't for this blog and all the photo books that my mom makes I would have no memory of them as children. Hopefully we can all look back at my words and see God's hand through it all. They will for sure see how God was stretching me as a momma and how much love he put in my heart for these children.
This new blog is super exciting as well because there's a spot for podcasts and speaking. I have recorded several podcasts for other people in the past few months and love it so much! Podcasting is something that I'm exploring now and hope to have that to you guys before summer! What I want for my podcasts is a place where I can feel like it's the radio again. I loved talking on the radio because it was a place to give your opinions about real life stuff and tell stories about your life. I hope to have some great guests on with me as well. Some that you know and some that are new.
There's also a place for speaking. God has opened up doors for me to be able to share my story and what God's teaching me and I am really enjoying that aspect of my life right now. It's terrifying and I sometimes wonder if I have anything to say, but God is showing me that I have much to say about him.
Lastly …. I want to say THANK YOU to all of you because you guys make this blog a place where I feel safe to share my feelings, opinions, stories and what's on my heart. Thanks for enjoying that space with me. If you would like to subscribe to this blog there's a place on the side where you can do that. That way each time there's a new post it just comes straight to your email – how easy is that! Also I'd love to have you like my facebook page where I also list my blogs when they post!
So, get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and stay for a while. I'd love to hear your thoughts and what you'd like to see/hear more of.
