My guest for episode #93 is my the very lovely and beautiful, Jessica Robertson. Reality television star and busy mother-of-five, you probably know Jessica as the wife of Jules Jeptha “Jep” Robertson, the youngest son of Phil and Kay Robertson of A&E’s Duck Dynasty. As a child, Jessica grew up hunting with her father on the weekends in the woods of Louisiana. She first met Jep in 2001, and they were married within two weeks of announcing their engagement. Like many members of the Robertson family, Jessica also has a business background – however it is not from working at Duck Commander. She previously worked in real estate as a licensed real estate agent, and most recently worked in sales. Her most recent endeavors include launching Calvary Jewelry, a faith-based jewelry line now available in Dillard’s stores across the country as well as Dillards.com. Jessica recently made a splash in the online world with the successful launch of her lifestyle blog, Robertson Roots, where she features her favorite cooking recipes, fashion trends, family activities and other DIY hobbies that are close to her heart.
In our conversation, we talk about the recent release of her book: The Good, The Bad and The Grace of God. She shares about the process of God calling them to share their story. Jessica and Jep recently adopted, and she shares about her family’s journey and how the Lord brought her and her husband, and ultimately her other children, to that decision together. And lastly, Jessica totally surprised me by how she has taught herself so many trades – sewing, quilting, gardening, beekeeping. She's the whole package with an amazing accent. Y'all will love hearing from her.
And if you didn't catch her sister-in-law, Korie Robertson, on the Happy Hour, make sure to catch up here.

Anybody get a little bit overwhelmed with summer? Just me? I mean, I love having all my kids at home, but it's just that it's like 11 very long and hot weeks. So, I partnered with my buddy, Amanda Brown, and we created a challenge that we'd like for you to join! Just a little something to keep us engaged with our kids and shepherding their hearts as we endure the summer. For 8 weeks, we're going to be memorizing scriptures together with our kids! You can purchase the scripture memory cards here. There are two sets – one for kids older than 7, and one for kids under 7. Of course, you know your kids best, so do what works best for them. But, how amazing to join together as families across the country and memorize God's word together to equip ourselves to fight the enemy!? Please join us and make sure to use #HHscripturechallenge throughout the summer!
