My guest for episode #81 is Kat Armstrong. Kat is the creator of Baby Bow Tie and the founder of Polish, a ministry sharing the gospel with women in the workforce. Kat shares her story of creating a company because she couldn't find a green bowtie for her son and how God ordained relationships to spur on the tremendous success of the company. You can now find her products in Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and a ton of children's boutiques across the country.
Now, most of Kat's time is spent with the ministry she started, Polish. She and her team are committed to sharing the gospel with women in the workforce, and equipping women in the workforce to share the gospel. They currently serve women in the Dallas and Austin areas. But, they are considering serving other areas (North Dallas and Fort Worth coming soon). If you are interested in being a part of the launch team in your area, you'll definitely want to get in touch with Kat.
Kat and I are both pastor wives (which is different than a sister wife), and I loved hearing her talk about how she manages that role while being respectful, encouraging and protective of her husband. No matter what role your husband plays, I think you'll feel encouraged by Kat and how she talks about her marriage.
And lastly, I know I will make a lot of my designer friends shudder when I asked Kat to clearly pronounce Pantone. Kat loves her some Pantone Color of the Year, and I love that about her. But I am going to stick with my primary colors and leave the fancy color talk to my designer friends.
{You can listen to the show HERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

Jamie,
Thank you so much for following God’s leading in your life and creating this amazing podcast with such inspiring guests! A friend of mine just recently introduced me to podcasts and I’ve been hooked from the start! She recommended your podcast to me and I’ll admit I’ve been binge listening for a few days now!! I just love the inspiring stories and godly advice that come from such empowering and courageous women! As someone who wants to leap into everything heart first, this has been incredibly encouraging for me! A movement of courageous Christian women is happening in our country and I’m so excited to be a part of it! I also LOVE the “3 things” recommendations you ask from each guest. It gives us the chance to get to know them a little bit and then find out what they’ve done that makes them tick! I love it! I’ve already ordered several books that have been recommended, including the “Leading with a Limp” book on this episode! Thank you again for doing your best to be real with women! 🙂
Really loved this episode. I love what you both had to say for pastors wives. My husband is the youth pastor at our church and I really related to what you both had to say on the topic and really appreciated Kat’s responses for when people speak to her about things that aren’t on her. I laughed out loud about the thermostat, and really love hearing about how you practically honor your husbands in ministry. Even if my husband and I disagree behind closed doors, I always want to appear on the same team in the Church & in front of our kids. So thank you both so much!
Also, I don’t watch sister wives regularly but totally agree about it being a train wreck you can’t look away from!
Listening to your podcasts with Shay and Kat this week and Siri interrupts. I believe she is confusing their Texas voices with mine! Love your podcasts! :o)
