My guest for Happy Hour #78 is Jessie Artigue. You're going to love a lot of things about our conversation, but what you will not love is the sound of my voice during my introduction and closing. As I have made it abundantly clear, I am suffering from influenza. You guys. It's the WORST. But, good news is I am feeling better and plan to spare you from my breathy introduction next week.
The real star of the show is Jessie. She and I chat about Vespas, and how we somehow agree that they are a much more acceptable form of transportation than motorcycles. We cover how she and her husband have remained a one-car family for nine years – which I realize is a total first world wonder, but it's just so hard for me to imagine my family with just one car. And finally, we talk about Jessie's struggle with depression and how she has coped with self-care. She left me so inspired, that I immediately got out of my jammies and went for a walk (and then I got the flu the next day, so now I am left undecided on the benefits of self-care).
You're going to love Jessie. Make sure to head over to check out her and her husband's podcast: Marriage is Funny.
{You can listen to the show HERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

Pine Cove
It's still winter(ish), but now is the time to be thinking about your summer plans and you must consider Pine Cove camps! Here’s why camp ministry is awesome: your kids get a whole week away from technology to be out in God’s creation, they get to be pushed out of their comfort zone with fun activities like high ropes courses, zip lines, and horseback riding. Pine Cove scours the nation for the most excellent, intentional, Jesus-loving college students to invest in your kids for a week as their counselors. We’ve sent our kids to Pine Cove for years now, and they always come back with so many stories of what they learned about the Bible and how they felt so loved by the staff. Pine Cove takes safety seriously, and as a mom myself I trust them completely with my kids. You can find out more information about Pine Cove on their website at pinecove.com.
I’ve enjoyed your podcast from the beginning and I’m so proud for your success! Thank you for stepping out with God and doing this podcast. Thank you for encouraging all of us to love Jesus and share Jesus exactly how we are and where we are. Can’t wait to read your book, hope your flu is gone, good luck with your live show, and thanks for promoting Pine Cove. My nephew has been working full time for them for quite a while and they’ve been a huge blessing to him and family. Keep doing your thing girl and IM SO EXCITED ABOUT BONUS EPISODES!!!!!!!
