Oh man, y'all. This is one of my favorite shows to date. If you don't already know about Rachel Hollis, you are going to love getting to know her so much. If you've been following Rachel for a while, this show is more of everything you love about her – honest and hilarious conversation, just like a real happy hour should be.
Rachel and her family live in Los Angeles where she owns and runs a lifestyle media company called The Chic Site. She and her team are passionate about helping women feel better about ourselves, in a digital age that bullies us into feeling less than and inadequate. She and I chat about the myth of work-life balance, and managing family time while chasing our dreams.
And the part that I know you will love is hearing Rachel share how reading Jen Hatmaker's Interrupted drastically changed the course of their lives. Her family had been pursuing international adoption for several years, until God suddenly called them to foster to adopt in Los Angeles, and act of obedience and faith that is costing them some comfort and safety.
{You can listen to our conversation HERE. And I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

Another fun episode! So excited to hear more about the live happy hour. My sisters and I are ready to plan our girls trip to Austin!
Come on!!!
Me too!!! Interrupted by Jen Hatmaker made a real impact in my life and changed my path from where I was every year after year to a total new path in life! Praise Jesus for using her willing voice!
Also thank you for doing more podcasts lately on foster care. I love it!!!
I’ve been listening to your podcast for a while and love it! I never comment on blogs/podcasts but while listening today I just loved how you and Rachel talked about how women are so hard on each other! Can we get an amen?!?! I so appreciated hearing her talk about how she loves to work. I feel like it is hard to find Christian women who openly speak positively about being a working mom and how while it is HARD…it is how God made us! Praise Jesus! Keep doing what you do so well!
OMG! Happy Hour LIVE? With 3 of my absolute favorites AND you? Can you divulge time of day, place? I may just have to book a flight!
BTW, kudos to you for getting an editor, pre-recording (making the Wednesdays of Happy Hour addicts like myself) and posting timely show notes. Marry all that with your natural ability to do what you do. Winner-Winner!
And I fogot to say that Rachel is totally (using her favorite word) right about Odd Duck. Great place!

So fun, and loved “meeting” Rachel! Your convo with her was truly one of faves you’ve ever done! So much good truth, and wisdom!
I recently found the Happy Hour and have been binge listening! It’s wonderful – thank you for your real, honest, refreshing conversations. You have mentioned The Middle Mom in the last two podcasts – have you considered hosting Christie Erwin (the author) on your show? She started and runs an organization here in Arkansas called Project Zero that advocates for children waiting in the foster care system to be adopted – it’s amazing, and she’s passionate, enthusiastic and engaging and also super fun. I think you’d love her and so would everybody else.
Loved this ep! Ok.. haven’t found one I don’t love yet!
… Didn’t she mention a book with vampires and the like?? Or did I just make that up?? :/
Favorite podcast so far!!
