Happy Hour #69 is with Mandy Rose. Mandy and her husband, Jeff, have three boys and are passionate about marriage and encouraging couples to make their marriage a priority. They have a podcast called MarriageMore, that you'll definitely want to check out.
Before I tell you much about my conversation with Mandy, I need to call myself out. In the first few minutes of our conversation, I told Mandy shamefully that sometimes my podcast show notes don't go up until the night a show is aired…or at worst, the day after. And look at me now, a week late. So, just go ahead and add that to my goals for the year. So sorry for the delay in getting these notes posted. I am aiming to be much more timely about these this year. Okay, moving on…
On the show, Mandy and I talk about marriage and how she and her husband became champions for the health of marriages. She shares her own marriage story, which surprised me. You'll have to listen, but as a little teaser, it includes Vegas, deployment and a pink dress (which she recently pulled out of it's preservation box for a photo shoot).
Mandy and Jeff have been in the process of adoption for several years. On the show, you'll hear how God called them to adopt, to start the process very quickly, and then wait for years for their child to come. And lastly, Mandy inspired me with her new years resolution to unplug more. She has some great tips that I am going to start to use, and I think you will love.
I hope you enjoy the show, as much I enjoyed chatting with Mandy.

Hey Mandy and Jamie,
I just listened to this episode and something that Mandy said gave me goosebumps! Shay Shull from Mix and Match Mama (Sean Lowe the bachelors sister) said that her husband, while in church during their orphan Sunday, said that he experienced feeling like an orphan as well. Shay had asked him to consider it a week or two before and he was on the fence till that Sunday. They now are parents to a beautiful daughter from China named Ashby. GOOSEBUMPS AND GOD!
