On this show we discuss training for a triathlon and her new book FEAR AND FAITH that releases TODAY (April 1st). Trillia and I talked about how we struggle with measuring up to ways we women think we should be successful, and truly embracing our gifts that God has given us.

I love your podcast! I’ve been powering through ALL your previous podcasts for about 2 weeks now (since I found it). I have so many new books on my “books I’ll read in 20 years when my kids move out” list. I also MUST visit Austin (the Asheville of Texas)! Anyway, love what you are doing. Keep it up!
Oh my goodness! It’s feels like forever since your last podcast! I actually discovered the Happy Hour when Asher Collie (whom I follow on Instagram) posted about being on it a few weeks ago. I then binge listened to allll of your podcasts in a week and I have been counting down the minutes for the next one! So excited about this book also! Added it to my reading list.
I’d like to win! Her United book was great, and I want to read this one too. 🙂
Thanks for another great podcast! It kept me great company for the drive back to my house from my patents. I’m so w/ y’all about kids’ birthday parties!! They are crazy! We like to host a surprise party – but the surprise is on the guest! They have no clue we are celebrating a birthday until dessert time when we bring out a cake w/ candles. They usually say sometime about a gift, but we got their company & that’s all we really wanted.
I listened to the podcast on my way home from work today, and trillia was delightful! I am definitely going to purchase and read both books.
I enjoy your podcasts so very much! I’ve subscribed on my phone and get excited to see new ones. Trillia was great and I have got to get her book! Inspired me to go pick up the first book I plan to read in…. way too long! Keep it up!
I loved Trillia’s laugh! It was so infectious!! I was listening in the car and just could not help but smile when she would laugh. Love it!!
So excited to listen! I “met” Trillia through the IF:Equip videos last year. I loved her insight and there was just an air about her where I could tell that the Lord has been doing amazing things in her life. I just pressed play, so I’m looking forward to hearing your conversation and learning something today!
Trillia has such a beautiful heart! Such a great conversation. Jamie, your podcast is my favorite and I tell all of my girlfriends about it. I don’t get over hear to comment often, but I’ve listened to every one of them (at least once 😉 ). I love listening while I’m cleaning or getting ready. Thanks for the inspiration and some much needed girl time!
This was a very fun podcast, I can’t wait to read her books! XO
Your podcast is my favorite, by far. I look forward to each new one. My husband is in law enforcement so I used to living with a sense of fear. I’d love to read this book, and share it with other LEO (law enforcement officer) wives. Thanks for your hard work, Jamie, it’s very appreciated.
I just finished reading Trilla’s book, United. It was so inspiring! I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. You both have such contagious joy…I could hear the smiles in your voices. Thanks, as always, for tackling tough topics in a casual and engaging style. Love the Happy Hour podcast!!
I just listened to this podcast, and I can’t get over Trillia’s awesome laugh. Thanks for the smiles this morning!
I’d love to win a copy of Trillia Newbell’s new book. So excited to read it! I’m loving your podcast. Great job!
I just started listening to your podcast and I’m so glad! You are so personable and easy to relate to.
Loved the show and related to the talk on fear. Would love to read her book!
Would love to read Trillia’s new book! This season of life, for me, is filled with so many changes. I am constantly reminding myself to not let anxiety creep in and be at peace with God’s plans in this season and the season’s to come! There is so many blessings in this season I do not want to miss out on simply because of my attitude and where my heart is at. Adding this book to my list this year!
Thank you for doing your podcast…I enjoy it so much! I will definitely be reading Trillia’s new book!
I loved the discussion on race issues in this podcast. It’s an interest I have and have experienced racism as a white person traveling to South Africa in post apartheid culture. Candid conversations like this will be the momentum we need in this world to move past race as a boundary for relationship and a spring board of judgement.
I want this book!
even if I can’t receive the book in my location Ghana, I am grateful for such a family that is leading me to desire God the more. shout out to you women out there pursuing biblical womanhood.
I Just love this podcast. Every time you both talked about fear I felt God tapping me on the shoulder saying that I am not alone in this battle. Thank you for each and every week!
Would love to win this book- it is just what I need right now!
I LOVE YOUR PODCAST. I first met you at the IF: Gathering in Austin, and I knew I knew I had to check it out! I have been listening for about a month, and its brilliant; I am always listening to y’all in the morning when I make coffee and get ready for the day! I am so looking forward to Melanie Shankle on here!
Also, I have linked your podcasts on my blog this past month here: http://thebelovedsparrow.blogspot.com/2015/03/all-things-march.html
Praying more people here about your space here!
🙂
Hey Jamie! Saw you across the room today at the Polish Luncheon. At a new job now, but still loving your podcast to break up my work day.
I would love to read this!!
I was at a friends house a few weeks ago who mentioned she had heard an interview you had with Jen Wilkin a while back. I was so shocked because I had no clue you had a podcast! I always thought it would be so fun to get to know you and your story and the Happy Hour podcasts has definitely allowed me do that. Thanks, Jaime, for your openness and your desire to share your story and the great stories of so many other amazing women!!
Congrats! You won!
