One of my favorite take away's from this podcast was Jen talking about creating a climate of conversation in their home. Teaching your kids to know that whatever they are feeling or thinking they can come to you and you will drop it all and listen. This is something that I want so desperately for my home. That my kids would be comfortable with telling me everything and anything.

- Breakaway ministry is a great organization in College Station – if you have kid heading off to Texas A&M make sure they check this out.
- JenWilkin.net is her blog & here is the post that I reference in this podcast: “equip your kids to say no to porn“
- Also here's another podcast I recently recorded for VERGE WOMEN with Jessica Thompson where we also discuss talking with our kids about porn – just another resource of all of us parents out there trying to find our way through this.
- Jen's new book WOMEN OF THE WORD was just released this summer and I'll be reading it this Fall. The book is about studying God's word with your heart and your mind. Jen wants women to know that there's a way to get off the emotional roller coaster and to have our faith grounded in the facts of scripture, rather than our feelings.
- Also, here's a post I wrote on why moms need to know the bible. – I kinda mentioned some of these thoughts in this podcast.
- Jen's SERMON ON THE MOUNT curriculum
- When we recorded this I hadn't received my book from Amazon, but now I have!

Hey Jamie! I started watching you with Jennie on the Restless study in the spring and have loved listening to your podcasts! I picked up Jen’s book after listening and I am loving it so far! I am hungry for more ways to download godly wisdom into my life while I’m working or driving. Who are some other podcasts that you love to listen to? Women, sermons? Give me all your favorites! Just subscribed to you on Stitcher! Thanks!
Maybe you should do these twice a week! 😉 Just saying…
that discussion on porn was so good- not freaking out… i need to practice that now.
Hi Jamie! Thanks for making this podcast! I just found your podcasts last week and only have 3 left before I’m all caught up. Maybe I should slow down, so I’m not listening in real time. It’s like binge watching tv shows. I’ve been binge listening to your podcasts!
Anyways, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. I laugh and also learn. Thanks for your honesty and for talking about hard topics. I’m glad to have found you!
I definitely be buying Jen’s book. For myself and for friends and family’s birthdays and Christmas.
Really enjoyed this podcast (well, let’s be honest – I love them all, ha!). Such good insight from Jenn though! I have to tell you this funny story – I was listening to this podcast while doing housework so I was taking my phone around with me while I was working. At one point I left the room and took my phone with me & my husband asked where I was going because he wanted to keep listening! 🙂
I love this Leigh Anne!
