Today's guest on the Happy Hour is my friend Jennie Allen. Jennie is an author, bible study teacher, dreamer, founder of the If Gathering, wife, and mom. Jennie and her husband Zac have four kids and live in Austin.
One of my favorite things about Jennie is how she's always dreaming up something. In this podcast she even spills the beans on a new project she has going on here in Austin {Collaborate} and if you are interested you can email her: admin@jennieallen.com
We talk about small cities in America to visit and whether we have been there or not. What it looks like to get away as a couple and how we try to make that a priority. Jennie shares her thoughts from her trip to Rwanda with Noonday, and what it was like to visit the place her son spent the first four years of his life.
If you have journeyed through IF with Jennie, you'll enjoy hearing her tell the story of how IF was born.

Hey Jamie!
Thank you so much for your great work! Thank you for standing up for family and adoption in your blog, podcasts and social media.
I work with Buckner International, a 135-year old faith-based global ministry dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable families and children. We’re gearing up for our Barefoot Run 5K to raise funds to bring shoes to children around the world. The barefoot part is completely optional and we’d love you to be a part.
Would you be interested in doing the virtual Barefoot Run Where You Live? Let me know and I will gladly provide more details.
Thank you again for your work!

Love your podcast Jamie! Starting at the beginning and working my way through. I’m an Upper East Tennessee girl, and just in case anyone is still wondering (ages later) – I think the restaurant Jennie is talking about is Golden Corral. The place is nutso – all you can eat anything, and I mean ANYTHING. Perfect place for a football team. Anyway – love the podcast and all you are doing!
