Happy Friday! I’m taking a break from my scheduled 31day challenge of “letters to my former self” to write about just nothing. Here’s why … I’m spent. Allergies are kicking my tail and I’m on the couch with Law & Order SVU on and my brain has stopped working. I usually write about a week ahead, and so when this crazy week hit I was good with posts up until Wed, and then nothing. I’m done. My brain has stopped working. The only thing I could possibly write about this morning is how much I love SVU, how many times I’ve blown my nose this morning, or how big the canker sore is on the inside of my mouth. I’m a mess people. A mess.
So today I’m vowing to do nothing and I’m going to fight the guilt over that. Why as moms/bloggers/wives/ _________ whatever you are … why do we feel guilty when we get sick and need to slow down. I’m not going to do that today. Okay. Done. No guilt over this. I must say this though … I love you Austin, but your allergies suck.
I do want to say this to you guys. Monday’s post was hard for me to post, and yet so freeing. I’m so thankful for all of your sweet comments on the blog, facebook, and email. Thanks for being a safe place for me to share my past and all that God has done in my life. So thankful for this place.
I also want to tell you all that November and December are going to hold some great giveaways on the blog! Lots of organizations and shops for you to buy your Christmas gifts from. So, make your list, and follow along on the blog for great deals. To make sure you never miss a post, I would recommend you subscribing. It’s super easy and all you do is insert your email address in the box in the upper right hand corner of the side bar. Go try now! Many of these organizations are also offering discount codes to get a percentage off of your purchases. Remember, these are organizations that give back, or are small businesses that make their living through people like you! First give away is November 1st!
Hope your weekend plans include family time! Ours sure does. We’ll be laying low and enjoying each other and I hope that you are as well!
I’ll leave you with a few pics from this week ….
We celebrated Story’s FOURTH year to be home with us. I love this girl so much and at the same time she’s my hardest child to parent. I can’t believe it’s only been four years! Our lives were forever changed the day Story became an Ivey and came home to us!
