Back in October of last year, my best friend from Lubbock called me and told me all about this crazy wrap business she was getting involved in. Honestly, all I really heard when she called (even though I don't think these words actually came out of her mouth) was “multilevel marketing” and “selling” and immediately told myself that's not for me. I wished her luck and had no doubt she would be amazing at it and it would do well in her boutique store. Over the next few months, I saw her having success with it and of course was thrilled for her. It was “good for Ashley!” Never really thinking this could possibly be good for Traci, too.
Fast forward to January of this year. Ashley & I were chatting via Facebook because we are cool like that. We were trying to figure out a time for us to get together. We only saw each other once or twice a year – with kids and jobs, lives were way too crazy. We were tossing around trip ideas when Ashley said that she was taking her husband, Dan, to Las Vegas for his birthday weekend & suggested we fly there to surprise him! Thinking it was a fabulous & super fun idea, I checked into flights. Being that it was a short 3 weeks away, flights were pretty high. No way we could swing that with our current financial situation, so I sadly told her we'd have to pass. She quickly said, “I'll pay for it!” I told her there was no way she was paying that much money for us, but she insisted. And then she told me something that blew me away. She told me that she was making over $10,000 a month selling this crazy wrap thing and that if she wanted to fly her best friends to surprise her husband for his birthday she could do it! Hello, what?! So I said ok, sure – you can buy our flights. But first, tell me more about this wrap business!
Next day. I signed up. January 7th, 2012 I took a huge step into a world I have never been a part of called multilevel marketing for this health & wellness company called It Works! Global. I spent $99 to start my own business and was nervous but excited all in one. I told myself I would give it all I have for at least 3 months and just see what would happen.
Fast forward to today. I've been in the business for 8 months. Let me tell you, that was the best $99 investment I have ever made. Getting in on the ground level of a Christian based company that is growing exponentially has totally rocked my socks off. I now understand what Ashley meant when she said this was a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity. This past month, I promoted to Triple Diamond which is the level Ashley was at in January. I tell you that not to brag by any means, but to show you how much potential & opportunity there is. It is surreal.
And guess what? You really don't “sell”, you simply share. My husband and I have fallen in love with the products and use them daily. I have never felt better or had so much fun in my life! It's easy to share because I truly love it all so much. I have also made some incredible new friends. My team is amazing! Their passion and drive inspires me. And now, bonus, we get to see our BFF's practically every month at various It Works events & trainings! This business has allowed us more freedom to travel and more opportunities to give – both of which we are passionate about.
