My hope this month is that I can showcase a few people/organizations that are doing big things on a smaller schedule. These are people that are doing great things in their home, or without a big company backing them. What I'm saying is you should spend your money on these people and not big name stores! As you prepare for Christmas shopping I ask that you think about your money and don't just throw it to anyone. There are lots of giveaways this month, so check back daily!

JASON POE – JENNIFER JAMES –
MIGHTY SPIRIT KIDS
Today I have three different cd's to tell you about. Yes for the past two weeks I've been giving away items from organizations that are making a difference around the world with our dollars, and this seems different, but let me tell you why I still want to showcase these people. #1 they aren't big names backed by big record label dollars. These are people making music because they love music. I love supporting people like this. #2 Jason Poe is giving all his proceeds from his new album “Flesh & Blood” to the Buhangija School in Tanzania. This school primarily helps children with albinism by educating them and also offering protection for the children. All of the children have vision problems, so the proceeds form this CD are going towards buying them braile typewriters! #3 the Mighty Spirit Kids CD is one of the best children's cd's I've ever heard and would make a great gift or stocking stuffer for Christmas. #4 Jennifer James and Jason Poe are amazing songwriters and I love great songwriters!
So, today you could win some cd's for yourself, for Christmas gifts or great stocking stuffers! These artists would love it if you would buy cd's from them if you don't win. They do love to sell cd's! They would also love it if you would share with your friends via social media about them! I love sharing good artists with the world!
I'm giving away 2 Jason Poe CD's, 2 Jennifer James CD's and 2 Mighty Spirit Kids CD's. So, three winners randomly chosen! Good luck and tell your friends!
Check out video's that Jennifer James & Mighty Spirit Kids have put up!
My favorite singer/songwriter is Owl City. The words are so upbeat and catchy and not at all lame. 🙂
There are so many great singer/songwriters! But I think it’s also a distinction that’s a bit hard to make too since artists don’t necessarily label themselves as such. Some of my favorites, though, are Kim Taylor, Matthew Perryman-Jones, Maria Taylor, Jason Poe (I love his music!) and I’d also throw Gotye (Wally DeBacker) in there as well.
Honestly,I don’t think I have a favorite. My music interests are pretty eclectic.
Love hearing about new music! 🙂
Oh and the Daniel Doss Band is my favorite band….I sleep w/ the lead singer so I’m kinda partial. 😉 http://www.danieldossband.com
very well played Emily!!! 😉
Favorite?? That’s tough. hmm… Well, I’ve been trying to find more good quality children’s music and so I do have a favorite children’s music singer and songwriter as of now, and it’s Laurie Berkner. She’s really upbeat and her lyrics are fun. 🙂
This last year I’ve loved dwelling in the deep, soulful lyrics of Gungor – so many of their songs have put words and emotion to my desires to be honest and humble before the Lord.
