Happy Friday friends! What a week we just went through. I went to bed on Wed normal and woke up to the news of Charleston and felt as though I had just been hit in the gut. I struggle with being an anxious and fearful person and it never helps when someone does something so outrageous to people in a place where you are supposed to feel so safe. It feels even funny to post about three things I'm loving, but hopefully these will bring a smile to your face today in the midst of the craziness.
Also, if you haven't heard episode #44 of The Happy Hour that just posted this week, please listen. My friend, Tasha Morrison, joined me and we talked about race issues in America the entire show. We recorded this months ago, and don't think it's ironic at all that I posted it today in the midst of this madness.
Here are the three things I'm loving this week:
The PopCast podcast
A podcast that I listen to regularly is called The Popcast and let me tell you these guys crack me up! Jamie and Knox host the show each week and talk about all things pop culture. Most times I find myself talking back to them, and cracking up laughing all at once. Well, this week they hosted a bonus episode and yours truly was the guest. It was a lot of fun, and I think they were pretty nice to me and my sill answers!
Listen and let me know what you think!
Wayward Pines
I have no idea where Aaron heard about this show, but we are hooked. I'm thinking it's fairly new and we watched all of the five episodes that are out in two nights. It reminds me of Lost because I just don't get it. None of it makes sense, and still I can't stop watching and keep wanting more. Now I will say that Matt Dillon has not won me over. His character is just weird, and it's the one piece of the show that I'm not a fan of. Everything else I am loving.
You have a new show this Summer that you are binging on?
Gluten Free Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pic: Dunk & Crumble
Guys …. these cookies are so good! I made them the other night and ate four. I'm supposed to be watching what I eat since I am heading to the beach with my man in a few weeks, but guys these are worth the cheat. And they are gluten free, which means they are healthy, right?!? Ha! Seriously, they are so good and no flour and no butter. 🙂 I got these from the website DUNK & CRUMBLE, and from the looks of it there are tons of other great recipes over there.
Those are the three things I'm loving this week, what are you loving?
I have been making those cookies like crazy lately….add oats sometimes, so good!!! And I know you don’t love coconut, but trust me on this one…add coconut!!!
