Happy Friday friends!  I have been super busy this week with some super cool things that are happening in some ministries around me.  I'm honored to be able to use my gifts in different ways.  I'm getting to do some podcasts and videos for VERGE WOMEN, and getting to write some bible studies with the women's ministry of our church.  Such fun and life-giving things.

I actually recorded a podcast yesterday for myself. You all that have been around my blog for a while, know that this is a dream of mine.  So it just might be happening.  🙂  I need to learn how to edit it and all that jazz, but I'm happy to say I actually have a file on my computer ready to edit!  I did say something inappropriate so there's that too.  I mean nothing crazy, but something that needs to be edited out.  I hope to get this up in the next few weeks and continue to record some.  I also need a title.  Please help.

What should I name my podcast?

Okay enough about me, here's a few things I think you should check out:

1.  My church has a ministry called STORY TEAM and they make some amazing media full of people's story's and how God has changed them.  I love each and every one I come across, but this one was super special because it's about a dear friend of ours Jimmie.  Jimmie has albinism and in this audio he talks about the struggles he has had throughout his life and what Jesus has meant to him.  Check out the Story Team blog to see all their awesome stories!  You will be blessed.  I promise.

2.  A few weeks ago I ran across this post on facebook:  Adoption comments gone wrong.  I thought it was interesting and worthy of sharing with you.  If you are an adoptive parent you have surely heard some of these, and even worse your kids have probably heard some of them a well.  If you aren't around adoption, this is a good thing to read to see how some of these comments might make be offensive and mean even if you aren't trying to be.

3.  Top 25 things to do in Austin this Spring is a great post for all of you home town friends.  Spring is by far my favorite time of the year in Austin.  The weather is perfect and it's not yet so hot that you literally melt inside your house.  I love our town and love finding new things to do with our kids each year.  This is a great list to bookmark for your family if you live here, and even if you don't for when you might visit soon!

IMG_17214.  I have recently been reading a new book to my kids and I have one to giveaway to one of  you guys! It's called Must-Have Marvin and has such a fabulous message for kids.  Marvin is wanting a new robot and this thought consumes his mind so much that he literally forgets all about his friends and only cares about one thing – his robot.  I loved the message that this book gives to children that people are more important than things.  I'm still learning this lesson and I'm 35.

Must-Have Marvin is the second book in the Shine Bright Kids series.  The Shine Bright Kids series provides children and their families with a framework to teach the importance of making good choices. The principles that will be explored include: using good judgment, taking responsibility, having a positive attitude, and demonstrating perseverance.

It's gonna be super easy to enter this contest.  Use the rafflecopter below to enter.  I'm only asking for you to like my {new} facebook page and the facebook page for this publisher.
