So far in 2015 I'm up to twelve books and it's looking like I'm four ahead of my scheduled reading plan! Since I spent a considerable amount of time traveling this month I got to read 2 of these on airplanes!
1. Still Alice – I have had this on my list for a while now, and of course when a book is made into a movie it sparks my interest even more. I enjoyed this story, and now I'm just waiting for the movie to come out on DVD so I can see it.
2. Miracle on Voodoo Mountain: A Young Woman's Remarkable Story of Pushing Back the Darkness for the Children of Haiti – I interviewed Megan, at the If gathering last month and was given this book. She basically left her comfortable life here in America and moved to Haiti to start a ministry for children there. It's a great story of a young woman depending on God for everything and stepping out and doing something that on the outside seems rather crazy.
3. Warrior in Pink: A Story of Cancer, Community, and the God Who Comforts – I met Vivian at the If Gathering this year and she truly was one of my favorite things about the entire event. Her story in this book was truly encouraging and inspiriting. This book is about her journey through cancer and all that she learned about herself and God on the journey.
What did you read this month? I'm in need of a great novel to lose myself in. Share with me your suggestions!
