Blogging is something that I truly do love. Sometimes I love telling our families stories. Sometimes I love telling you about a new thing/place/food/person that I think you will love too. Sometimes I love just writing about things I'm learning. Sometimes I love talking about recipes that I want to make, or the awesome ones that Aaron makes for us.
Blogging is also hard for me. I'll go through phases where I'll blog regularly and then I'll have a famine of blogs for days/weeks on hand. It's not like I think there are hundreds of you sitting by your computers waiting for words to appear from me, but I do like when I hear that some of you appreciate my words. If nothing else, my dad tells me each time we talk that he read my blob (yes that's what he calls it, bless his heart) that morning and liked it. Sometimes he even tells me that I made him cry. Oh now he's reading this for sure and shaking his head at the fact that I just called him out to all of you about him calling this blog a blob. I bet today he'll call and get it right!
Anyhow, here are a few blog things for you to know and think about.
#1. I think I'm going to do this challenge of blogging every day for the month of May. Oh I just got stressed thinking about it. I'm traveling some. Lots of school events. Aaron's traveling lots, which basically means I have to cook more than normal and that interferes with blogging! But, I think I can blog ahead of time and schedule some blogs and that way I just might make it through the month of May with blogs each day. I'm already set on Monday's with the adoption series. Which by the way, aren't those just the best stories ever? I'm loving them and I hope you are too.
So, anyone want to do this with me? I found this out from Jenni over at Story of My Life. I do not know her, but I see that she lives in Austin, and that makes her cool and me like her all in one. Check it out HERE where she talks about the challenge. She even gives you ideas for every single day in May. That was super nice of her!
#2. If you aren't following HOW THEY BLOG you need to. My friend, Kat, created this and it's her brain child on how all of us bloggers can learn from those that are doing this blog thing well. I have enjoyed it very much and to read how these “pros” handle their blog is great encouragement to me as a teeny-tiny blogger.
#3. One of the hardest things for me to do these days is read blogs. I find it really hard to read blogs and usually when I do finally get around to reading them I'm about 3 weeks behind and have hundreds to sort through. I love reading peoples words, but these days I can hardly find time to read my bible as much as I want, and for the love if I don't finish The Great Gatsby this week I'm gonna scream. Anyhow, here are some blogs I'm reading lately that I don't think I've ever mentioned on here. Enjoy them!

May 1st is done for me. You going to join? Leave me a comment and tell me if you are. I am already convinced this will be a fail, since I tried to blog for 7 days in a row once before and failed at that. But, it's worth a try. Let's see how many days I can get under my belt in May.
{This picture has nothing to do with the post, except for the fact that I have some cute kids!}
I think I’m going to join you. I always say that I’m going to be better about writing, but honestly blogging takes a back seat to everything else I’m doing. Then I don’t finish certain posts because I run out of time to write them and wonder if they’re even worth posting. (I have 35 drafts…) I put WAY to much pressure on myself. This will be good for me and push me so that even after 31 days are done, I’ll have formed the habit. Maybe… 🙂
Side note #1: I really do enjoy reading your posts- just so you know. 🙂
Side note #2: I was watching the Verge Conference online, saw Aaron leading worship, and thought, “HEY! That’s Jamie Ivey’s husband!” 🙂 Ha! That’s probably goofy, but I got excited. 🙂
i think i’m going to join the challenge!

I have made 5 day a week blogging part of my routine, and I honestly miss it when I don’t get it done. Maybe May will give you an opportunity to find a good fit for how often you’d like to blog if you’re interested in becoming more regular with it. Your words are always so divinely inspired when you do post. Thank you for sharing your heart!
