Today's Friday's Five (or maybe six) Favorite things are all about mom's because if you don't know, or just don't remember, Mother's Day is just around the corner. I really stink at getting my mom and mother-in-law gifts, and so I want to help you out so you don't look as bad as I do each year. Here are a few things that you might want to order for you mom/wife/sister/friend this year for Mother's Day!
1. This super cute apron from Noonday. I personally love putting an apron on when I cook. I feel like it just gives me immediate street cred in the kitchen! This apron is not only making you look good when you cook, but it's giving someone around the world a job and helping them live life. I love that!
2. I love getting magazines! As in I love them and might have a hoarding problem with them. I can't seem to throw a magazine away. I always feel as though there's someone that might want to read it and if I throw it away they won't get to. I fully realize that when I actually say/type those words out loud it sounds ridiculous, but to me it's real.
Anyhow, maybe your mom loves magazines like I do. If so, here's a deal for a free magazine for her! Magazine.com is giving away a free subscription to one of my readers! You could get her People, Time, Good Housekeeping, Cosmo, Parenting, or hundreds of others that they have to choose from.

3. Maybe your mom is more of a candle person. This candle from Raven+Lily is hand poured by the women at the Los Angeles downtown Women's Center. This would make a great gift for that mom in your life and you will be supporting women in LA at the same time. It's a win-win for everyone!
4. I can't recommend the book BREAD & WINE enough. I read this book on vacation in February and have told everyone I know about it since then. The author does a brilliant job of bringing you into her life and making you feel as if you are actually sitting around her table with her. You literally think you have tasted the foods she describes and then gives you recipes for. I literally dreamed about the dates she described and when I finally had them at a party they were just as good as I could have imagined they would have been. This book will make you laugh and then cry on the same page. It is just that good. This would make a great Mother's Day gift for that mom in your life!
5. A new necklace from Hill Country Tribers might just be what your momma needs. I love this company and honestly have gotten more compliments on the necklace that I have from them than on any other necklace that I own. Right now you can get 15% off anything on their ETSY page through May 5th with this code: MOMSDAY13
or a new headband from 3Cords … I have a few of these and love them. They are perfect for the summer and so stinking cute. Don't think that 3Cords only sells headbands, because that's just not true. Check out their clutches, purses, computer cases and much more. Did I mention that these are made in Haiti? Amazing! Also for the month of May you can use the code DREAMBIG to get a discount on your order. That's so nice of them!!!
My mama is special because she makes everyone feel like they are #1 in her life!!
my mama is special because every single morning for all of my life, I woke to her at the kitchen table with hot tea and her bible. Now, when I drop my own kids off for babysitting when I have morning appointments, she’s still there.
