My guest for The Happy Hour #169 is my friend, Kat Lee. Kat is passionate about teaching others how to jump-start each day with a grace-filled, life-giving morning routine. She and her husband, Jimmy, live in Waco, Texas, with their three children. She is a writer, speaker, podcaster and founder of HelloMornings.org.
On today's show, Kat and I talk about podcasting, our new favorite shows and how she has earned the title of being my Podcast Mom. Kat shares about her new book, Hello Mornings. She's super passionate about waking up for your life, rather than to your life and she's taken the time to write about it. If you're anything like me, this conversation might be a tiny bit convicting to a comfort idol that begs for me to stay in bed as long as possible. Kat shares about her experience in learning to wake up earlier than she had to, to meet with God and get her head on straight. Her book tells of her journey and about getting the most out of your sleep.
I am such a big fan of Kat and the work that she is doing. Make sure to hop over and pre-order a copy of Hello Mornings for you and a friend.
{You can listen to the show HERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

Hi Jamie,
Another great podcast, I always look forward to my Wednesday commute with you to and from work! Do you happen to have the link to the Wonder Woman quote Kat Lee mentioned in this podcast?
Thanks so much!
Amanda
Kat!!!! I wanted to say my parents took us ( my two brothers and me) on 2-4 week long vacations each summer from the time I was 12 until I was 20 ( I’m the oldest). We visited the 48 main land states and we drove every where and camped in our very old pop up camper! It was such a gift and I was so excited to hear you were doing that with your family. Your kids will have amazing memories. I think for my experience it also made me realize I could live anywhere and when I graduated from college I moved to my favorite place we visited, Montana and have been here 13 years and married a Montana man. Traveling with my family truly set a trajectory for my life.
Jamie – I LOVE your podcast. It’s my favorite one right now. I binge on old episodes while I wait for you to create new ones. I enjoyed Kat’s interview. I’d like to incorporate her 3 minute morning routing but I didn’t see the scripture reference in the show notes. Do you happen to know that? Something in Psalms. I also really like the idea of homeschooling 8th grade. I’m going to consider that for my littles!! Thanks for all you do. Keep shining that light for Jesus. It’s making a difference in the world.
