2 Corinthians 4-17-18 says this, “For (1)

God’s been teaching me something lately that has been rocking my world. Lately I have been trying to filter everything through the lens of an eternal perspective. There is an eternity that will be longer than our little brains can even imagine. There is more to this life than our wants, needs, rights and desires.
Thinking about all the times that we get upset over what we deserve or how things don’t go the way we planned, and we need to change our perspective. We need to view these things as a momentary struggle in a much bigger picture. You see, this life is not just about us. I know that’s a shock.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says this, “For this light and momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.”

You see what this world holds for you is momentary. The good stuff and the bad stuff. I think we sometimes feel as though things that have happened to us are wrecking us, but friends they are momentary – there is an eternity of GLORY. We think that things that we deserve are important, but they aren’t because all that we have here is working for our good and it is a momentary struggle.

Your past that you are angry about – MOMENTARY
Your family life that sucked and has hurt you so badly – MOMENTARY
Your health that is declining and keeps you from living this life to the fullest – MOMENTARY
Your lack of a husband- MOMENTARY
Your husband that isn’t all you thought he would be – MOMENTARY
Your kids that aren’t functioning fully – MOMENTARY
Your career path that just detoured – MOMENTARY

Y’all the truth is that whatever it is in your life that is causing you anger. Whatever it is in your life that is not fair. Whatever it is in your life that is pushing you towards not trusting and believing God is MOMENTARY.

Let us be women that believe that there is an eternal glory that far outweighs all that this life offers us.

Momentary struggles friends. Momentary.
