Guys what a great day over at The Happy Hour today! January was our highest download month ever, and as of this morning we have passed that up and hit 100,000 downloads for the month.
Yes, you read that right. One Hundred Thousand Downloads in one month. That friends is carazy.
So, to all of you that are listening to The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey podcast I want to say THANK YOU for listening. Thanks for sharing with your friends! Thanks for coming back week after week!
There are lots of exciting things happening in March with The Happy Hour – first this Friday is our first ever mini episode. We still have yet to name this bonus episode, but I'll tell you this much …. every other week we'll release a 30 minute episode on Friday's. It'll be sort of a mini Happy Hour and I'm super excited about it!
Also, next Sunday is the very first HAPPY HOUR LIVE event and we are in full on “get ready” mode around here. Well, let me rephrase that. Aaron is in full on “get ready” mode because I've been on the couch since Saturday with the flu. Yes, you read that right. The flu. I have never felt worse than I did on Saturday. Today's day 3 of this sickness and Aaron looked at me today and told me I looked like someone from The Walking Dead. Lovely, right?
I wish I was celebrating this accomplishment with a great glass of wine tonight, instead I'll be in bed with a good book, sleep aide medicine, and blowing my nose for the 100,000 time today. Cheers!
Jamie, you should obviously call your Happy Hour mini episodes “Coffee Break.” If you choose the name, I’ll take a plug for my blog; Caffeine & Concealer- Life of a Working Mom and other Sporadic Thoughts (which is just getting started), and/or send an Amazon giftcard 🙂 Just some food for thought. Congrats on the 100k listeners, I’ve been encouraged by the Happy Hour for the last year or so during treacherous Houston commutes!
Sincerely,
Amie Smith
I have been working my way through your episodes over the past couple of months. So happy that so many are discovering your hard work and awesome podcast. I can honestly say I can feel the spirit of God working through each conversation. I appreciate each woman you have on the show and their courage for sharing their vulnerable stories, it really means a lot to those of us who are walking through tough times to know we aren’t alone. Yes, God is with us, but others have walked the same or similar road. Thanks for this. (I’d love to hear an episode with Mary Beth Chapman, Jessica LaGrone, and Beth McHoul, or Courtney Donalson) as I know you had asked previously of others we’d love to hear. Keep up the great work of being relatable, I can’t detect a pretentious bone in you, and that means a lot these days! Keep up the great work of being a reliable format where women can show up and be vulnerable and help others!!!!
Congratulations Jamie! I’ve been listening since podcast #2 thanks to Jen. Such a big fan and amazed to see the ways God is using you and blessing your podcast. You ARE creative! That’s for sure!
Hey! Just an idea here, if you looking for one. You could call the new bonus episodes “Happy Half Hour.” 🙂 Love your show! Always a bright spot in my day when I listen. Keep doin’ your thing, girl!
